I really can't comment about the education about the other schools. I know they have good track records as well.
AUC is a good school I believe in terms of education. It has so far kept me up to snuff. And for the most part things go smoothly. AUC also has good residency matches as well (check their website).
I think among the better Carib schools, the decision comes down to the little things. AUC on the island of St. Maarten, home to the mega-yachts and a booming tourist trade which gives the island more a comfortable edge than the others. C'mon, Heinekin is a $1 over here. But also you get most of the US products, fast food joints, good French restaraunts, Japanese and Chinese food galore (even Thai). St. Maarten also has movie theaters (yes, a lot of islands don't!!). It's the little things, like what they don't call a quarter pounder with cheese a quarter pounder with cheese.. 8)
Class sizes at AUC are not as big as Ross, about 150 for the largest class which is about equivalent more or less with a US school.
AUC also has active research going on, so you can also get published (a great boon), and go to congresses and pad your CV.
Also, the people at AUC are fairly laid back as evidenced by the chatter that goes around this board. If stress gets too hard, there are many outlets for relief, or we just go kick puppies.. j/p, maybe.
AUC should pay me for these advertisements. :P
