verbose

What do people think of Schmidt and Thews? It's noticeably thinner than Guyton but it's also more concise. It might be out of date now--the last edition I know of came out in 1989--and I have a feeling Guyton would have a lot more clinical info. But Schmidt & Thews was incredible for Physiology labs in undergrad.

Guyton might be the standard in some American med schools but doesn't it seem a little verbose?
