MUST bring items:
Sheets (full or twin) no King or Queen
Underwear
Socks
Shoes
Undershirts
There are almost no clothes to buy here
Sandals
Shorts!!
Bathing suit
First Semester Books
Plenty of Pens, Paper, notebooks.
Your Favorite coffee if its not Folgers (starbucks, etc)
Sweater (for girls)
Favorite snack item, there are few snacks here. (beef jerky, etc.)
Bring 2 towels
Bring you own pans (they all SUCK on this island, rust, coating comes off)
NO ELECTRIC CLOCKS (only battery)
Hat
Sunscreen over 42 SPF (less than 36 won't work)
Bring your own Cell phone (GSM) Cheaper
Laptop
USB Memory Stick (512k minimum)
One set of nice clothes for Graduation or other functions
Items Bring if you can:
Printer (portable) (used a lot)
Your favorite music
Headphone for laptop
reading lamp
OFF!! (there are tons of mosquitos here)
Video games for laptop
toaster (if you like eating bagels, toast, etc)
Can opener (manual or electric)
reading books
Blank CDs
Good shampoo and toothpaste
Things not to bring:
Cars (the Tariff will Kill you)
fans
Bike (expensive to ship) Buy on island for 150.
Drugs (crack, cocaine, marijuana, etc.) You can get it on the island
Water filters (water is very clean on the island)
New computer stuff in Box, they will charge you for it.
Pets, it is very hot and uncomfortable. Lots of Strays. Poor Vet facilities.
Attitude -( it's not our island, we are guests)
