I wouldn't count you out with those stats, but you might not be a "lock"
The "what are my chances" thread at the top of the Saba forum is a good guide for what stats are usually good. They'd probably look at the difficulty of classes taken, what reasons you had for not getting a higher GPA (like working nights full time like I did), etc.
Personally, if I had less than a 3.0 I'd take the MCAT just to be safe, because I'm chicken like that. One can always apply, and if not accepted can find out straight from the horse's mouth what needs to be improved, losing only the application fee. I don't get the feeling that Saba black-balls anybody who has to re-apply. (That's just my opinion, not based on anything but my dealings with the admissions people.)
