I am in the process of applying to BGU (it is one of the only two schools I have ever applied to) and I hadn't heard of Sackler until I viewed this forum. I would think doing your 4th year electives at top notch hospitals would get your foot in the door to some pretty great residency programs. I applied really late (my application is complete as of this week) due to some changes in circumstances, I hope I have a chance at getting in considering I have been on 3 medical missions to Peru and initiated a Tropical Disease course for students to be taught in Peru (check it out at
http://clubs.weber.edu/tropicalpatho/), 3.67 GPA, 27mcat, research grant, and a lot of volunteer service. From what I have heard BGU is an excellent school for my life goals. I am extremely interested in Global Health in fact I am half tempted to not even apply to any US schools because I have a contact in Peru that said he could guarantee me a seat in the top school in Lima. I could easlily see myself living in the Amazon Basin for the rest of my life like Linnea Smith. I could honestly care less about money; I have had a pretty cush life and I would like to give back to those who haven't had it as easy as my honkey @

. Anyway, does Sackler focus on international health or what?
