I once considered podiatry as a future career. I even went so far as interviewing at podiatry schools. At Scholl's school of podiatry at Finch they told us that the upcoming year (fall, 2003) would be fully integrated with their M.D. program. This meant that for the first 2 years, they would be in the same classes as the M.D. students. So, I do not think that it can be that much different since the students all students, M.D. or D.P.M. are taking the same pre-clinical classes.

The unfortunate thing is that the podiatry students end up as D.P.M. after all that hard work
