We brought everything that we didn't see available in stores - tennis shoes, jeans (clothes), computer & other PC stuff, cooking gear, cosmetics (they have almost none here and what they do have is really expensive) those toothbrushes that cost 8 bucks but work like an automatic toothbrush with replacement heads, radio (expensive here and crappy for a little cd player) books for pleasure reading.

Basically when you move down, try to have all your home comfort things. You'll have enough to do once you get here with school and I would suggest to bring as much as you can so that you don't have to learn the hard way about the lack of 1 stop shopping/24 hour shopping. I mean things you won't say "Ughgh! I can't believe I forget to pack that I am so screwed now!"
