Prices on Caribbean Islands (on ANY island, for that matter) are usually higher. The reason for this is because they usually don't have pen and binder factories, and they have to import most commodities.

Congratulations to TexasPride for transferring to a school on US soil. He/she probably could not have endured the rigors of island life.
