medicine and politics

With the upcoming election currently in a statistical tie, I think future medical practicioners like ourselves should really think about who we vote into office...

Now I do not intend on offending anyone, nor do I want to sound like I'm forcing my views onto others, but lets just discuss some facts, thats what these forums are all about right?

John Kerry is a DEMOCRAT. And Democrats have repeatedly blocked REPUBLICAN supported legislation to cap malpractice awards..Why, I'm not sure...Do Democrats think its fair for thousands of doctors accross the United States to close shop and discontinue use of certain medical procedures because their malpractice premiums are too high?? Again, I do not know..Don't democrats understand that malpractice awards are greatly hindering the ability of doctors nationwide to provide effective treatment to their patients?? Beats me.....Whatever happened to the 80's, when Doctors were kings?? Again I do not know, but I do know that Mr. Clinton and his accomplice Hillary had a lil somethin to do with all this insurance ** and trial lawyers breathing down helpless doctors necks......And finally, regarding trial lawyers..Frivolous lawsuits are a significant issue that effect all of us dearly. John Kerry recently chose his running mate, John Edwards..At first glance, Edwards seems like an alright guy- He's a good/slick speaker, good lookin, personable...but what we need to remember is that he is a TRIAL LAWYER who made $MILLIONS$ suing doctors...Now who would you trust to fix the frivolous lawsuit issue?? Some TRIAL LAWYER!?

Now don't get me wrong...I do not not agree with a lot of the things G "DUBYA" has done, including the iraq war..But if you ask me my honest opinion, the world is a much better place without saddam, period..No doubts here..Also, as future physicians, we need to understand that the Republican party is more in touch with our needs and wants. I can assume this previous statement will cause some controversy, but hey its true..Listen folks im being REALISTIC, not IDEALISTIC....

Any thoughts??
