Hmm
Well,
Suck me sideways. I have no idea that the language of instruction denoted whether the program was accredited or not. I guess I shouldn't have assumed that they were approved since their website shows a list of recent graduates and their residencies in the USA.
Also, let me explain my logic as to why I figured the school was ECFMG certified. I have several uncles that went to medical in Egypt and they have instruction in either English or Arabic and my uncle chose English. He is here now practicing in the states and if you go to the ECFMG website you will see that the language of instruction for Cairo University is in Arabic, and it says nothing about English. I don't think that means that their English program isn't approved.
It just doesn't make sense now. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Why would Varna have a 4 year program geared towards the USMLE when they admit that it's not even ECFMG approved. Color me confused. I wonder how their graduates received residency here in the USA. Maybe they were in the Bulgarian program.
Word,
A
